  hey everyone... i'm so happy that a forum like this exists.

  it makes me feel like i'm not the only one.

  even my mother, who has been disfellowshipped for nearly 20 years still calls sites and literature like this "apostate".

  Any Supporting Scriptures for the Trinity in the OLD Testament?

  Oh and Duputy Dog you didn't say...did my point make sense to you? I can get the whole article if you want, but my short answer is thats a grammar issue like in 1 kings "Solomon called the people to ..Solomon." This is the only part you didnt comment on!

  STARK- Daniel 7;13 and John 9;38 Many Trinity bibles say "Worship" when the correct term is "bow down" or "prostrate." The Greek term is Prosky-neo. When would you bow down to someone in the bible? The King of Israel., the Prophets of God, or even a foreign king, {Like Pharoah}. When Jews prostrated themselves before King Solomon or Elijah the prophet, they were not worshipping these men but showing respect to Jehovahs Prophet/king the same is with Jesus...he just told someone "Iam the Son of God..." -Bow.

  in a cult, the society of the cult tries everything in their power to keep one in that society, as well as keeping one ignorant of any information that would sever the guise of legitimacy.

  given a version of the bible, not being able to read any other version of the bible is just one example of this kind of inflicted ignorance.

  in a cult, it's impossible to get out without a fight.

  Not true, he was disfellowshiped for drinking it's even mentioned in Raymond Franz book. He's only health problem was his liver, which made him give up booze towards the end of his life, when he was re-instated.

  Watch 82 8/15 p.10 "...as a precuation for the saftey of the Bethel family, a place of refuge was built in South Lansing, New York....it was never needed for that purpose...later transformed into Gilead missionary school."

  Watch 81 12/15 p.28 "Rutherford believed that intense persecution against the Witnesses might require them to leave Headquarters. Thus he built a building in upstate New York, that could be used to house the Bethel family."

  The area if you've seen the photo is isolated and has it's own orchard for food. Good hiding place for the great tribulation.

  Nathan Knorr new this was crazy, so after Rutherford died, he gave the convention talk, Peace- can it last? "This War is not the battle of Jehovah...a careful review tells us that a period of peace will follow." There was much rejoicing and relief! In Feb 1st 1943 the first Gilead missonaries began training at the bombshelter at South Lansing.

  When Rutherford was dying, he called three of his closest"friends" by his side. Fred Franz, Nathan Knorr, and Heyden Covington. He put his hands on their heads and told them to "always stick together." Knorr and Franz had other plans. Covington was Rutherford's boy. Both were lawyers from the south, and loved the booze, they were best friends. Knorr was known as "the brown nose" at Bethel since he always sought Rutherford's favor. To begin with Knorr was made President since he was good at organising. He had been planning for months before Rutherford's death to re-structure the whole organisation. Just a few weeks after the death, he organised The theoractic ministry school, Gilead school, he revived the Circuit and District oversear programe. Covington was made Vice president. How do you get him out of office so Franz can get in? Franz wrote him out! "New light" was published in 1945 saying that all Watchtower board members must be annionted. Covington was not, so....Covington out, Franz moves in. Today the "light" is being reversed! Board members are seperate from the governing body and being annointed is not a major issue. {refer: Proclaimers book page 91 footnote}

  What happened to Covington...he continued as Bethels lawyer but started drinking alot, so was asked to leave Bethel, was later disfellowshiped for drinking but re-instated later in life. It was said that he thought these two men had "stabbed him in the back."

  Watch 93 12/1 p.18 "Fredrick Franz was a fine example of humility. As vice-president for 32 years, he did much of the writting for the magazines...yet in this regard he always stayed in the background, never seeking to occupy the spot-light." {are we sure about that??}

  Millions of years vs. Thousands according to the Society

  another topic gave me the idea to post this one.

  i have always asked myself, why does the society not agree with the amount of time archeologists say dinosaurs and other species roamed the earth?

  they agree the earth has existed for maybe billions of years.

  7,000 years theory is no longer taught by Witnesses in the new Reasoning book it says; "Many thousands of years." Also the creation book no where says 7,000 years. Since the embarrasment of 1975 it has not offically changed just never mentioned any more.

  Sorry Dog but questions from readers explains "Jehovah made it rain fire from Jehovah" is a jewish grammar issue, in 1 kings it says; "Solomon called all the people to Solomon."

  There are no good Trinity scriptures in the old testament. Jesus was called "mighty god" While only Jehovah is called "Almighty" or mighter then all the mighty. Even people are refered to as gods in the O.T. Even today Jews believe in one God. I strongly believe the Trinity is rubbish.

  "Let us make man in our image" obviously Jesus and the Angels.

  Sorry for preaching...it's hard to stop isn't it?
